Ryan and MacBride are called to investigate a family of cons posing as psychics, lead by the glamorous Jackie, who with her mother and the rest of her family make their money ripping off rich widows. The scam is getting the widows to invest their fortunes into phony stocks and shares, by holding seances, with the dead husbands sending tips on what to invest in, from beyond the grave. Peter Ryan almost gets himself killed when he trusts the deadly Jackie, but then he should have heeded the warnings, when he is Stung From Behind!!

This popular series first aired in 1975 and lasted three seasons.. Based on the classic 1973 movie "The Sting", it starred Eddie Albert as Frank MacBride, a retired cop and his sidekick Pete Ryan played by Robert Wagner. Ryan was an ex-con, who MacBride once arrested and when Ryan is released from prison, they both team up to form a detective agency. Their speciality was to out con the cons, as where.. Other series regulars were Charlie Callas as Malclom Argos, who was also a master of disguise! He was also an ex-con, gone straight... Sharon Gless played Maggie the sensible and always reliable receptionist...
IDA LUPINO
KEN SWOFFORD
Joan who has been a friend of Robert's since the fifties, plays another of her conniving vamp roles and is glamorous and funny as always... Switch began as a light hearted caper series, but became more serious in it's later episode.. Joan appeared in this early episode of the series.. Well worth seeking out...
